Citizens of 71 countries are exempted from a visa to visit Japan for a short period of time. They can stay in Japan for 90 days except:
*Indonesia→15days
*Thailand→ 15 days
*Brunei→14 days
*United Arab Emirates→30 days

I met a man who could stay in Japan for 90 days thanks to visa exemption many years before I became a Certified Administrative Procedures Legal Specialist. He said he had stayed 80 days already and would go to Hong Kong for the time being to come back to Japan to stay more. You MAY NOT stay in Japan longer by such means.
