If you want a Business Manager visa, you must file a business plan. However, “a business plan” is not a magazine article whose audience is someone in a specific business field who understands the nature of your business completely. If your business plan is an abstract and lengthy description, the Immigration Bureau will not be convinced. Items I usually ask my clients to fill out for this visa are as follows:
*An abstract of your company
A simple description of your business. Merely writing, for example “a software company” is not sufficient. Describe :
1)What your business specifically is
2)Why you want to run your business
3)How you will run your business
4)Where you will run your business
5)When you will start your business. Some concrete information of such must be provided.
*State specifically how big the demand is.
*The company’s major service(s)
Provide a detailed explanation of the service(s) which will make the biggest profit. Avoid jargon so as to enable almost anyone to understand the nature of the business.
If you already have made a list of service(s) described above, please make a price list.
*SWOT Analysis
Identify the internal and external factors that are favorable and unfavorable to achieve the objectives of the business.
*The company’s major clients
Please describe who your clients will be. Are they individuals? Are they enterprises? Please make a list of clients and do your best to provide a detailed account.
Also please provide the amount of money to receive from clients in the list. If there are miscellaneous clients, also describe their business areas and a prospective number of clients a year.
*Information on suppliers
If there already are suppliers, please make a list and provide the information on them. Also please provide the amount of money to pay to them in the list.
*The progress you have made so far
Please describe what you have already accomplished to start your business. If you have signed a contract with your client, please write so and provide the proof.
Also, if you already have suppliers, describe the history of businesses with them.
*How will you find clients?
If you already have an experience in this field, please describe how you ever found clients in the past. If you ever studied marketing in a college, for example, please write so.
*The current marketing size of the service(s) the company offers and its prospective size in the future.
Please check some websites or refer to any source of data. Explain your prospect of the demand.
*Financial plan
Probably the most important plan the Immigration Bureau is interested in.
*Other features of the company
Please make a list of other characteristics to contribute to the continuity and the stability of your business such as whether you have a tax advisor and/or an interpreter. If you cannot come up with anything, this item does not need to be filled out.
Your job is to convince and persuade immigration officers who hardly ever or even do not know anything about your business. Please make sure to avoid jargon and be specific.
