The issuance date of proof for applying a visa such as Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/International Services:

When you apply for a visa such as Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/International Services, you need to submit proof such as your diploma, transcript and certificate of employment in the past. Some of you know that the Japanese public offices require proof  issued in the past 3 months, but how about the proof above?

The diploma is obviously issued only once. Hence, its date of issue cannot be changed.

The transcript and the certificate of employment do not necessarily have to be issued within 3 months before the application.

If you wish to obtain an Engineer/ Specialist in Humanities/International Services visa to work as an interpreter and have worked between, for example, September of 2015 and August of 2018, the certificate issued on September 1, 2018 is acceptable for application.

The Immigration Bureau knows the transcript and the certificate of employment can be issued only once in some cases. Hence, the Immigration Bureau accepts the above proof even if they are old as long as the necessary fact is proved.
