A student visa of a certain international student expired due to the school’s serious fault. The student ended up staying in Japan “illegally” for a few days and was worn out.
The school once said the student should get a Temporary Visitor’s Visa for the time being and change the status later, but this is absolutely impossible.
Her student visa will be issued, and she legally stays in Japan now after all, but that is not the end of the problem. She got permission for activities other than permitted before her visa expired. Since she needs to get that permission again after the new visa is issued, she is not allowed to work now. That loss is serious.
I must not take it as someone else’s issue. I must be extremely careful since I could make the same mistake.
